Who: students entering grades 5th - 9th
Details: This hands-on introductory course will teach students how to utilize Raspberry Pi, a popular micro-controller, and develop a program using the Python coding language. Students will also learn Linux Administration, Python Game, and Pi Editor, as well as write a simple application to control a basic circuit.
Cost $100 for non members* or $80 for members*
Who: students entering grades 5th - 9th
Details: In this virtual camp students will discover the basics of coding. Students will start by learning a drag and drop programming language called Scratch to gain an understanding of the basics of coding. Students will then move on to Python, one of the most universal programming languages. By the end of this camp students will have created their own custom Python program.
Cost $40 for non members* or $30 for members*
Who: students entering grades 5th - 9th
Details: In this camp, students will get their own Arduino microcontroller kit. Arduino microcontrollers are microprocessors that can run C#, a coding language. Students will learn how to use this programming language, and run their own programs on the Arduino. For their final project, student will get the chance to create their own code to complete a real world task
